The School is on a major trajectory for growth in terms of new course developments as well as national and international research collaborations with distinguished institutions.

We have two lectureships available within our highly regarded School of Computing Sciences. The School’s current research areas include graphics, vision, speech, data science, machine learning and computational biology with an increased emphasis on Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing and Connected Societies.

Appointees will be expected to engage in high-quality research, will have an outstanding publication portfolio and a sustained record of external funding; and will be expected to actively lead and contribute to teaching courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including core computer science material as well as material related to their research specialties. Appointees will also undertake supervision and advisory roles at both undergraduate and post graduate level, and engage with a range of relevant administrative roles activities to support the School.

You will have a minimum of PhD (or equivalent) in Computing Science or cognate area, and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. The posts are available with immediate effect on an indefinite full-time basis.
