The 2nd Future Networks Workshop was held at The Cosener’s House in Abingdon, Oxfordshire on Wednesday 3rd July 2019.
The first workshop on Future Networks was held at Middlesex University in January 2017 and was sponsored by CommNet2. The aim of the Future Networks Workshops is to bring together researchers and organisations working on mobile communication infrastructure, such as 5G, with networking research communities who are looking at wider networking issues. As the pace of network deployment and change continues to accelerate, it has been felt that greater interaction and collaboration are needed between different groups in order to meet the challenges of Future Networks.
This second workshop was sponsored by Dell Corporation and CISCO systems with the understanding that all presentations as well as the summary of all discussions should be placed online. The Event Champions for this workshop were David Lake (Dell Corporation and University of Surrey), Glenford Mapp (Middlesex University), Joel Obstfeld (CISCO Systems) and Iain Phillips (Loughborough University).
